Not Getting Holy as Fast as You’d Like?

Last Sunday Pastor Brandon pointed out just how slowly we are sanctified.  It can be frustrating.  “Aaaurgh, when will I ever beat this sin!!!”  Discouraged.  Despairing.  Disgusted.  If you feel like you’re going 2 steps forward and 3 back in trying to be less and less like you and more and more like Christ, lift your chin and read this. http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=94431c7fc1ffa54485d1c84fe&id=1ec9f2e115&e=a0df36e19d

7800 Miles Away and Wondering…

  • If I lived here would I be one of the 90% who do not have sewage facilities?
  • Why is it that no one’s allowed to own land but must lease it from the government?
  • Why do many people whose mother tongue is Swahili know English, but I don’t know Swahili?  Except for “karibu” (not the reindeer) and “asante sana”.TZ 2
  • Which would be the greatest frustration to a visiting driver: dirt roads scarred with SUV-swallowing ruts, the absence of stop signs, yield signs and few traffic lights, or driving on the other side of the road?
  • What it would be like living daily with the threat of malaria…?
  • Why can’t Christians and Muslims live side by side everywhere like they do here?
  • Why can’t we have weather like this!
  • Why can’t I use tap water to brush my teeth?
  • Why are 1000 shillings only worth about $.60?
  • Why is it that in our community 5 churches just miles apart all host an annual VBS program while there doesn’t appear to be any held in all of Tanzania?
  • Why did Jesus divert us from Kenya to Tanzania and give us this incredible opportunity to bless these children?
